Located in the heart of Savannah, The Gingerbread House is an easy 15 minute walk from Forysth Park. It’s iconic exterior captures the heart of many locals and tourists alike. Over the past few decades, the home has served as a private residence, a cafe, a bookstore, and a special event facility. Through years of thoughtful preservation and restoration, The Gingerbread House has continued to transcend time and has evolved into a unique and historic setting for events and overnight stays nestled in Savannah’s Starland District.

Today, the home can be rented two ways - as a private vacation rental or as a private event facility. Our maximum occupancy for overnight lodging is 10 guests. For private events, the maximum headcount for the home and courtyard is 50 guests. All Private Event Rentals are required to reserve a 2-night stay allowing you to host several events during the weekend.
